Something I never noticed

Re-watched (for me) Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom tonight with Lisa (she'd never seen it - poor, deprived child).

At the beginning of the movie, after Indy is poisoned, and then gets away with Short Round driving the getaway car, it shows the outside of the club where the fight happened.

The nightclub's name?

"Club Obi Wan".

Oh, for the days when Lucas and Spielberg made GOOD movies.

Oh for the days when ANYONE made good movies that weren't remakes. Someone should take a good book (Wheel of Time?) and make an acurate movie depiction of it.

Umm... Lord of the Rings? Serenity? The Matrix?

Good movies still happen sometimes, they're just dogpiled by the bad ones.

I guess same thing was happening back then, though... Only a few memorable movies from the late '70s, I'm sure there were hundreds if not thousands of quite forgettable ones.

I wasn't trying to say that there haven't been been some good ones here lately; but one new very good movie every two years (averaging here) shows just how sorry Hollywoodland has gotten.
